Sales Lead

Due to business growth, we have a fantastic opportunity to join us as our Sales Lead. In this role, you will be responsible for representing Fell Brewery with all our trade customers, winning and growing business in line with volume, mix and margin targets. You will also be a brand ambassador, promoting and growing the Fell brand through events and activations in both the on and off trade. This is a field based role, so managing time between time in trade, remote admin work and regular visits to the Brewery in Flookburgh will be essential. We are looking for someone who can bring with them a wealth of experience and contacts within the independent drinks sector to push our trade presence to the next level.

Reward package: £30,000-£33,000 dependent on experience (plus £250 pcm car allowance + mileage). 23 days holiday per year (28 days pro-rated for four day working week, bank holidays included). Company Pension. 

Hours of work: 9am-5pm Monday-Thursday (the brewery operates a four-day working week), with occasional weekend event work 

Location: Cumbria/North-West (predominantly field based)

  • Direct relationship management of existing customers  
  • Key customer account management including key on- and off-trade accounts and distributors/wholesalers 
  • Identifying & acquiring new business in line with company objectives and key results 
  • Event organisation and attendance including events, festivals, tap takeovers and collabs 
  • Order processing 
  • Outbound sales calls and inbound enquiries response 
  • CRM maintenance and management 
  • Trade mailing list maintenance 
  • Liaising with operations so that we efficiently deliver great customer service  
  • Liaising with Production and new product development input 
  • Monthly sales analysis inc gap analysis & customer retention 
  • Monthly objective and key result catch ups  
  • Input into Fell Brewery sales strategy including margin, volume and product range opportunities – learnings from time in trade/customer interaction. 
  • Identifying and growing key Fell sales geographies  
  • Own vehicle and full UK Driving License essential 
  • Experience in beer sales essential; craft beer sales experience preferable 
  • Keen interest in craft beer & independent drinks sector 
  • Four-day working week. (Monday-Thursday) 
  • £250pcm car allowance
