About Fell
Welcome to Fell, where we try to spread a little joy into the world through the mad endeavour that is beer and brewing.
How we got here
Our brewery was founded in sunny South Cumbria, in the North West of England, in 2013. It was the result of two naïve, ignorant mates who, frankly, should have known better. It’s been quite a journey to get to where we are now, but we’ve settled into a nice groove brewing beer and running bars and a pub in this amazing place we get to call home.
Our Bars
We opened our bars in Kendal and Penrith back in 2017. They became places for us to truly express who we are and what we’re about. In 2020, we decided to spread our wings and took a gamble on an old clothes shop that somehow got turned into Fell Bar Chorlton. Then, when the pub up the road in Cartmel didn’t open up again post Covid, we somehow foolishly took that on too. So, here we are, more by accident than design. But we’d have it no other way.
Our Style
We’re a pretty passionate bunch and, amidst all the antics, we take our brewing very seriously. We’ve been doing this for a while now and feel, humbly, that we’re starting to get quite good at it. We brew beers that we ourselves want to drink. That will always be our ultimate acid test. By looking to the past, present and future, our goal is to bring great beers home to Cumbria.
